When a Navajo teen is searching for lost treasures on a plateau north of Chaco Canyon, he discovers an artifact that infects him with the virus responsible for human vampirism. A team of archaeologists investigates the circumstances of what occurred, and unfortunately, the Navajo scientist, Dr. Zachary Hawk, becomes infected with the deadly malady. Blake Barker continues his quest to find his kidnapped child in Mexico and Blake garnishes the hostility of the Mexican drug cartel seeking to capture a vampire for their nefarious purposes.
