Flood frequency analysis involves the fitting of a probability model to the sample of annual peak flood recorded over a period of 30 years observation, for a catchment of a Prakasam Barrage. Here by the study, the discharge of Prakasam Barrage during floods is more than the Prakasam Barrage original discharge. So to store the flood, a hydraulic structure is to construct to utilize the water during peak time which may be supplied to the irrigation fields or used to generate the hydraulic power by constructing.
