It is a longitudinal study of his families, his friends, his enemies, and most of all, his experiences over those years. His co-author, Robert William Hult, has studied birds and their behavior for six decades, and as a result, makes the perfect bird whisperer for Cawta. American crows are one of the most readily identifiable and most common birds in both Canada and the United States.
