The new Millennium has dawned, with little indication of peace or salvation on Earth. Indeed, conflict, greed and evil seem to be thriving in the current world climate. In such troubled times, one could not be blamed for questioning God's righteousness and existence, or for feeling that humanity truly has been forsaken. The author sensitively and candidly explores these difficult issues facing the modern Christian, or would-be Christian. The author has served in parish ministry for over fifty years. Most of that time was in an urban, down-town parish, also serving as a Rural Dean and in diocesan structures. At national level he was on the General Synod for twenty-five years and chaired various committees. Fifteen years on the international Anglican Consultative Council, six as its Chairman, afforded wide experience of the Anglican Communion.
