Those were America's "Golden Years" and many of these stories are representative of those glorious times and some of the unusual characters they produced.
All I want is for future generations to know me, and those I write about, for what we were. In so doing I may reveal more of our imperfections than I should, but if I brush away our flaws we will all vanish.
