After the fall of the Soviet Union, Russia left stockpiles of chemical weapons scattered across its former empire in Eastern Europe. Now, awash in petro dollars, and with the United States' attention diverted to other trouble spots, the Kremlin is ready to regain its past glory and recover those weapons. A forgotten base, isolated in Moldova, seems to be the perfect place to use as a transfer point.
