Henry Ashton knew he could never allow his desires the freedom they so often craved! His life had long been protected by one secret, and then controlled by another.
One secret he kept was during WW2 when he became one of the army’s best snipers. He was often reminded that if he ever spoke a word about his actions, he would be shot!
His other secret was very personal. Due to a bad experience in his youth, for his own protection, he had long learned to hide his feelings deep within himself. This worked and as usual he had everything under control. That was until that freezing cold night, in a huge storm, high in the Italian Alps. For Henry the chance of a happy ending is very slim indeed - but not impossible!
