Such a Life on Such a Planet - Carole Jett

 This is an autobiographical account of a woman's life lived in true apolitical feminist fashion. It is brave, independent, and unimpeded by how others might judge. There are broken hearts and broken bones along the way. It is an original, intriguing, and spiritual life. Her children were her primary concern and wherever she lived they were with her.

Early in the memoir while residing in Hawaii, a stranger offered to loan her a beautiful book, a revelation. She credits the teachings of this book for giving her the love of God, love of life, and the courage to embrace both. Midway in her life she decided to join the organization that publishes the book. Soon disillusionment set in and she became aware of the astonishing self-interest of its leaders. Quitting the association and moving out of the U.S., she thought she was able to wash her hands of the whole enterprise. But it was not to be!
