Postcard From Maribor - Nel Mervyn
Professor Brian Reed, a distinguished member of the University of the Witwatersrand, embarks on an annual five-day symposium for palaeontologists in Slovenia. Arriving three weeks early, he is eager to explore the country. Accompanying him is Alena Friedrich, a charming and knowledgeable tour guide who is also a qualified art historian.
During their visit to the Postojna Caves, Brian encounters a stunning stalagmite named "Brilliant." Not long thereafter, he begins to see the stalagmite's unique lines, shapes, and contours replicated in various postcards, beer coasters, and artworks.
Driven by curiosity, he and Alena dive into an investigation that reveals a disturbing secret hidden since 1914. However, their search does not go unnoticed, attracting the attention of ruthless individuals with a deep interest in the past.
Alena and Brian now find themselves in grave danger, relentlessly pursued no matter where they seek refuge. As they hide, they uncover the shocking truth that they are not alone in this perilous game of cat and mouse.
