Things I Needed - Taylor Little

Part memories, part imagination, part novel, part play, part sudden thoughts-that's what makes up this collection. Not always with a lot of detail (I've never been big on details), but all very specific. Specific moments that have changed my life. And, as with most life-changing things, none were anything I could have ever planned. They just had to happen exactly when they happened. Everything shared here has come from what I call an Eyes Closed Practice. Basically, listening to music with my eyes closed, often combined with a form of movement and breathwork. All of this was written over four years, beginning and ending on a February 29; a beautiful time-bending day. The month is added to each entry to give some sense of the moment in time. The order shared is not chronological, but it is what feels correct. My hope is that you can flip to any page on any day. Maybe you'll happen upon something you needed too.
