Jamaica Jones and the Treasure of the Haunted School takes readers on an adventure spanning centuries. In 1699, a riverside village witnesses the intense rivalry between John Jones, now the infamous pirate 'Jamaica' Jones, and Josia Cain, now Admiral Josia Cain of the Royal Navy. Amidst hoards of stolen gold, capture, and execution, the question remains: what happened to the treasure?
Fast forward a few hundred years to the same village. The 'Ram Jam Gang,' a group of mischievous schoolchildren, devises a plan to fake hauntings at their school, inspired by local legends of the ghost of 'Jamaica' Jones, reputedly guarding his treasure. Their scheme is so convincing that an exorcist is brought in. When his attempts fail, the gang encounters the ghost of the old pirate himself and strikes a deal to ensure his peace.
