"This then is the message which we have heard of him and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." 1 John 1:5 God is light; He is the source where all light, whether it is physical, moral or spiritual originates. Light in this context denotes luminous clearness; radiant shining . . . glowing, the free and benevolent source from where all light flows. It is absolutely free from any other intermixture since in Him there is no darkness at all. No man has ever seen God, except in the manifestation of His only begotten Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is the light of the world . . . He is the bright and the morning star, Revelation 22:16 states: "I, Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and the morning star." Just as the morning star rises before dawn . . . Christ is the day star that arises in our hearts. His light dispels all darkness. He is the truth and the life, the eternal life of salvation. He is the only potentate and in Him all things consist. He is our provider, sustainer, healer, comforter and Sovereign Lord. We have unspeakable joy because of His abiding love. Jesus is the messianic deliverer that ushered in the gospel and reconciled us back to our heavenly Father; AND He is the sure prophecy that will usher in the dawn of a new day . . . a brighter day . . . "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Revelation 21:2 Prayerfully, if you do not know Jesus Christ in the pardon of your sins, that you will be compelled to come to the light and accept eternal salvation after reading these short messages that point you to the scriptures from the word of God . . . and if you're a Christian, then hopefully, you will be inspired to witness to some lost soul, read words that will comfort you in times of turmoil, sickness or indecision;
