In the early part of the 20th century, the tough, gangling marauder of the sand plains invaded in a frenzy of hunger. The enemy was as old and wise as the ancient ground itself. A defensive expedition was launched to engage and subdue the guerrilla soldiers. It became known as The Great Emu War.
