Return of Montezuma - Clarence W. Dawson

The year is 1934 and drug-addicted Pedro Montoya thinks he is the reincarnation of Montezuma. With this conviction, he sets out to reverse the course of Mexican history. Believing his sister is Marina, the Indian princess who bore the illegitimate son of the Spanish conquerer Cortés, Pedro imprisons her and her lover who he thinks is Cortés and threatens to kill them if they don’t “re-conceive” their son Martín. He is convinced that Martín, sided by the war god Huitzilopochtli, will annihilate the Spaniards this time.
