The opinicus Kia, an evolved relative of a gryphon, wants nothing more than to hide in her sky-city and study ancient tomes. But when her scholarly friend goes missing, she’s sent to the gryphon lands to investigate.

She doesn’t think things can get any worse than having to team up with a gryphon named Zeph, but what they uncover will put both their worlds in grave danger.
