SELENA AND HER MYSTERIES

Selena Jenkins is a young woman who lives in a huge 70-year-old house -- a house with rooms full of mysteries and people not being what they seem to be on the surface. As doors are opened (both physically and in knowledge gained), mistakes are inevitable.  Extraordinary travel takes place ensuring Selena must mature quickly or be lost in a situation where she cannot stay. This travel includes going somewhere and to a timeframe that Selena did not realize was possible.  

Duplicity is in the wings as people she trusted are not what they portrayed; friendships grow stronger; love is whispered; shadows drift by; and memories are blurred. Selena's words to herself echo, "Who were those people?"  Selena's life is complicated as people and events necessitate her to overcome heart-breaking deceit and to make difficult life decisions about the past and about her future.

Family mysteries swirl tightly around her, overpowering her thoughts as she searches for answers in unexpected places and circumstances. What she finds will change her life and bring hope for love and, finally, understanding of all the mysteries that shape her past and present.

PROLOGUE -

I can't ask Aunt Jenny.

Honestly, is there nothing that I believed five days ago that actually is what I thought it was? 

Should I begin a list of what I have discovered in these recent days? 

Would it make me feel more or even less in control? There are so many strange things, so many mysteries.

Backing away as she had instructed herself, yet hesitating, Selena moved to the door and closed it hearing a firm "click". With precision, she locked the door with the key she had found. 

Remembering back to that afternoon, she also remembered another afternoon, another child. Now she knew who they were; where they had come from; how far they had travelled; and what happened in the years between.

But there were those remaining mysteries, still unsolved.
