BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – Snooty, uppity, snobbish – these are just some of the words that author Tony H. Sierk offers as a synonym to “stiff-neck.” In his humor book “You Might Be a Stiffneck If” (published by AuthorHouse), he takes a lighthearted poke at the smug and uptight, proving that laughter really is the best medicine.
Inspired by Jeff Foxworthy's “You Might Be a Redneck If” and the recent housing market crash, Sierk’s book takes a comical look at a recognizable American subculture.

“In the last 15 or 20 years, we have seen a rapid growth in our society of stiff-necks, partly in response to the large amounts of money made in the stock market,” explains Sierk. “I felt it was bout time to poke fun at them because there are many things to laugh at – as this book points out.”
Featuring cartoons and accompanying jokes, “You Might Be a Stiff-Neck If” is a feisty read. It is also, notes Sierk, constantly relevant. “We recently had a presidential candidate – Mitt Romney – who was the ultra stiff-neck,” he jokes. “They are always in the news.”
