The Owls are a different kind of team. During their four years in school, students here have played for the sheer enjoyment of the game, realizing that a professional soccer career will not be an option. They understand that they will end up in other professions after graduation.
Even so, they play their hearts out in every play of every game.

Mike Maloni's previous four novels with Strategic Book Publishing are Defenseman: A Hockey Player's Story; Shortstop: Where Grace and Power Collide; Penn State Blue; and Olympic Gold: The Drive for Five. The author resides in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. He attended Keene State College in 1987-1988, before transferring to a school in Boston. He has overcome the debilitating effects of mental illness to write his books. A fan of many sports, he also loves music, photography, and writing. His next project is about two buddies working up the ranks in minor league baseball with the Boston Red Sox organization.
