Les tells his son to let the authorities handle the situation, but young Cory's entanglement with a beautiful yet troubled female suitor thrust them all into an unforgiving plight of brutality. Desert Mountain Enigma reflects the strength of character of the people in the Davis Mountains area and what lengths they will go to protect their community and humanity at large. Despite the dark subject matter the book is laced with humor, love of family, and unity of friends.
