Dr. Leba Brader is a well-liked and highly skilled trauma surgeon who longs for adventure outside the safety of the base hospital. When she embarks on a quest to join an expeditionary scientific mission on a remote ice moon in order to realize her full potential and make a difference, she gets more than she expected. He shows her how to thrive in her new environment by changing tactics and breaking rules.  After her shuttle crashes during a training exercise, Leba finds herself in the middle of a hostile environment with few resources and incooperative teammates.
