A young boy discovers he can communicate with the wild animals that surround his village, deep in the African bush. Life is hard for the villagers, and lions, crocodiles, leopards, elephants, and hippos present a permanent threat, but through dialogue with the wildlife, the young boy is able to bring about peace and harmony.
