Unlikely wizard John B. Stewart and his beloved Elizabeth have left Australia to pursue her family history.  Their journey takes them to the New England coast where they find more than just history.  They encounter creatures of myth and legend, echoes of a forgotten past, old friends and new adversaries.  The search for Elizabeth's heritage throws them into the clutches of a crew of modern-day pirates.  Armed with today's weapons, but not averse to cold steel and the old buccaneer traditions, either.  Dubious magical powers are stretched when John B. is forced to walk the plank!
