The year is 1995 and May is an ordinary wife and mother to two young children. Working on the production line at the local factory, May enjoys the odd night out with her workmates. One night, they went to see a hypnotist. May decided to delve deeper and sought out a regressionist.

May sees the soft and kind Esme, who helps one of the elderly patients. Later it is discovered that Esme is with child. Following a cruel and harsh labour, Esme pleads with May to take her baby to a wise old woman that lives in the woods. On May's return to the asylum, she cannot see Esme anywhere and wonders what those two evil attendants have done with her.
A hundred years later the past meets the present. Could May get her answer after all?
