During the late 1950s at a convent in Northern England, a young nun is seduced by a demon lover in the guise of an angel.
After undergoing an exorcism, Jane is committed to a psychiatric hospital. Upon release, she begins a new life in Paris, but is pursued by the demon. After a love affair with a Moroccan businessman she becomes pregnant. She leaves for the French Alps to have her baby but she's convinced that she's still being stalked.

Author Susie Reynolds lives and writes in Brittany and Paris where much of the book is set. She is currently working on her third novel.
