Flatt must vie with a childhood adversary if he hopes to attain the crown. His path is made clear by his rival's spectacular fall from the heights of power. Thus begins the reign of a tyrant.

This historical fiction will will acquaint the reader with the horrors of the modern era of the Middle Kingdom. The inner lives of Communist Party leadership are coloured in a fictitious representation of their personalities and manners. Their motivations are surmised by the results of real world events.

The author lived more than twenty years of adulthood under Communist Party rule. Nevertheless, the author writes from his imagination. He will not defend the truth of any part of this work. He's quite willing to say it is all lies.
