DESTROYING LIES IN THE CHURCH LIBERIA - Marshall Benjamin

Do you consider yourself to be a part of the church community in Liberia? How about anywhere else in Africa or around the world? Do you believe the Christian community holds the key for positive change around the world? I believe this. Is there hope for Liberia, Africa, and the rest of the world? Yes. The purpose of writing this book is to help us to see and understand what has really been happening and do a self- analysis, acknowledge the underlying issues and problems, and take responsibility individually and as a church collectively for these problems.

After my many visits, experiences, and entrepreneurial ventures with Liberian people, what stands out most to me is the spiritual condition of the nation. Despite seeing the effects of poverty, economic underdevelopment, health issues, low accountability, and corruption, I conclude that what is really ailing Liberia and needs to happen for it and other nations to be far less problematic and much more fruitful and productive is more spiritual than anything else. This book challenges the main institution that is responsible to lead this change - the Christian church. As a church community we must admit our mistakes and make the necessary changes no matter what.
